Career Planning I for Female Scientist in Marine Science (level early Postdocs)

To obtain a PhD and to conclude the Postdoc young researcher need to develop a versatile skill set. The daily focus is mostly on acquisition of specific scientific tools. At the same time, it is important to identify and to reflect on other career relevant skills like the personal vision, the developed transferable skills, and the organizational knowledge. During the workshop we will talk about frequently discussed as well as hidden career elements, expectations towards skills and role awareness, self-presentation in the CV and networking.

 

Objectives

Participants will

  • gain additional knowledge about the basic aspects of the organizational structures of universities
  • discuss about role awareness and competence development
  • reflect on the quality of their application documents and on the power of their visions
  • analyze their network and networking activities under consideration of their particular importance for academic career building

 

Max 10 persons can participate
