Career Planning II for Female Scientist in Marine Science (level Postdocs)

Every career is built on a variety of different factors. Despite the conviction that expert recognition is the main constituent of an academic career, it is now commonly recognized that factors such as organizational know-how of institutions and scientific communities, transferable competencies and personal networks become increasingly important in determining success. As a postdoc it is particularly important to recognize and appreciate achievements and to spot future challenges. In order to support the next career planning step individual coaching session are planned.

 

Objectives

Participants will

  • reflect on other than pure scientific aspects of career building elements
  • review their application documents mirroring the professional status
  • realize the power of a compelling vision and its convincing presentation
  • raise awareness on networking as a success factor in career planning

 

Max 6 persons can participate

 

1 & 2 March 2018

9:00 - 17:00 h

& 1 h at the 2nd day
